FAQ

What Tradie Quo does, what it doesn’t, and how the money and the rules work.
General
What does Tradie Quo do?
Tradie Quo is a done-for-you back office for tradies. You text us after a job and we quote it, invoice it, chase the payment and ask for a Google review, all in your business name. A person on our team checks every message before it sends.
Is Tradie Quo a debt collector?
No. We’re an outsourced admin team on a flat monthly fee. Messages go out in your name, you stay the creditor, we never take a cut of what you’re owed and we never send letters of demand. If a debt needs legal action, we refer you to a licensed partner.
Do I need to learn new software?
No. You text us like you’d text a mate. Everything lands in your own Xero, which stays the single source of truth for your books.
Where does Tradie Quo work?
We’re starting with tradies in Sydney and across NSW who use Xero and run teams of 1 to 10 people.
Who is Tradie Quo for?
Sole traders and trade teams of 1 to 10 people in NSW who use Xero: plumbers, electricians, builders, carpenters, painters, roofers and other trades.
Do I need to use Xero?
Yes, for now. Xero is the single source of truth for your quotes, invoices and payments, and it’s where your accountant already looks.
Who writes the messages?
Every message is drafted from your price list, templates and job history, then checked by a person on our team before it sends. Quotes and invoices also wait for your OK.
Money and the rules
Do you hold my clients’ payments?
No. Clients pay you directly through your own Xero payment options. Tradie Quo never holds client money.
Do you take a percentage of what you recover?
No, never. We charge a flat monthly fee. Taking a share of recovered debts is how collection agencies work, and that needs a licence in some states. We’re your admin team, not a collector.
Do you send letters of demand?
No. Our chasing ends with a phone call on day 21. If you want to go further, we refer you to a licensed partner.
Do you follow debt collection rules?
Yes. Our reminders and calls follow the ACCC and ASIC debt collection guideline on contact hours, frequency and tone.
Can you do my BAS or bookkeeping?
No. In Australia, BAS services for a fee must be provided by a registered BAS agent. Your bookkeeper or accountant keeps doing that, and your Xero will be tidier for it.
Getting found
Will you write reviews for me?
No. We ask every real client after their invoice is paid. We never write, buy or incentivise reviews.
Do you run ads or manage social media?
No. Get Found covers your Google reviews, your Google Business Profile and your website. No ad spend and no lead guarantees.
Who owns my website?
You do. It’s built on your own domain and it’s yours to keep. Hosting is included while you’re with us. If you leave, we hand it over, or keep hosting it for $25 a month.
Pricing
How much does Tradie Quo cost?
Get Paid is $400 a month, Get Found is $299 a month and The Lot is $599 a month, all ex GST. The Lot is $549 a month for our first 20 tradies.
Are prices including GST?
No. All prices are per month, excluding GST.
What if I send more than 30 quotes or invoices?
We’ll tell you before you reach the limit and agree a fair price for the extra volume with you. No surprise bills.
Getting started
How do I get started?
Fill in the short form on our get started page. We’ll get in touch to book a quick call, then connect to your Xero and set you up.
How long does setup take?
Most of setup is building your price list and templates with you. Overdue invoices can go into the chase plan straight after we connect to your Xero.
Is there a lock-in contract?
Talk to us about terms when you get in touch. Your website is never locked in: it’s built on your own domain and it’s yours to keep.
